Free PDF Tools 2: Split or Reorder PDF Pages

You can extract pages from an Adobe PDF file into a new file.  You can also reorder the page sequence into a new file.

1. Choose  Free PDF Tools > Split or Reorder PDF Pages.

2. Select a PDF that you want to split or reorder.

3. The Split or Reorder PDF Pages dialog box comes up:

 

  • To split pages, click Split Pages. Specify the range of pages to split.
  • To reorder pages, click Reorder Pages.  Type the page numbers with commas between them. You can use the page ranges or pages in the example format of "1, 3-5, even, odd".
  • To delete pages, click Delete Pages Type the page numbers with commas between them. You can use the page ranges or pages in the example format of "1, 3-5, even, odd".
  • To keep bookmarks, click Keep Bookmarks.
  • Save the other pages as a PDF File if you need.
  • To create a single-page PDF for each extracted page, select Extract Pages As Separate Files.
  • To see the extracted PDF, Click Open the Extracted PDF.

4. Click Save As to have a new PDF file.  The new file may be launched automatically if you have installed Adobe Reader.

5. Do experiment with the options available to see which best suit your needs.  Click Close to finish.

6. Batch (DOS) Command Support: You can start a batch job in Windows by issuing the execution command directly from the MS-DOS command prompt window without opening the PDFill GUI.
(It is only available for the registered user of PDFill PDF Editor)


 
    The batch command to Split a PDF into a new PDF according to page number selection
     "C:\Program Files\PlotSoft\PDFill\PDFill.exe" SPLIT "1,3-6,10,13,24" Input.pdf Output.pdf

Note: If you have problem to read your PDF into PDFill, open your PDF document inside Adobe Reader. Then, print into a new PDF using PDFill PDF Writer.
